Best comment from the linked discussion? The guy who quoted the statistic that "99% of all arguments boil down to shocked cries of 'you're not me!'" I love that one, actually. Because the rant, if you read it, is prescriptive: "you must do this, you must not do that." (Which pretty much boils down to, "you should do this because it's what I would do.")

And somewhat to my own shock, having grown up as the compliant, obedient "good daughter"--as a middle-aged cat lady, I find that nothing gets my back up faster than having someone tell me I "have to" do this or that. Outside of my work, I mean.

So the rant? Gets my back up.

I shall take my revenge in the form of long, witty blog posts!

Just as soon as I get over this cold and my brain stops feeling so mushy. You think blogging is the enemy of fiction writing? Try cold medicine!

According to their MySpace site, Gloryhound & the Skyhawks have set a release date for the most highly-anticipated on this blog CD of the year!

The release party is scheduled for May 31st, at the Seahorse.

Just so you know, that conference that has been plaguing my mind and interrupting my sleep? Ends on May 30th.

I know I say I don't drink, but if there was ever an occasion to start, this might well be it...

Okay, so the big conference we're putting together for the last week in May? Is looming ever larger in my mind. I'm getting progressively more freaked out about it.

However, the training session I am also organizing, totally unrelated to the conference but scheduled for the last day so we can piggyback on awareness of the other? I'm sure that's going to be a rousing success.
