...but she could stand to lose a little weight. This is a seven-year-old Fjord pony cross.

Crossed with what? A seal??

Look at the neck on her! I'd be afraid to work her for fear she had a heart attack...

(By the way--this little mare is, in fact, a dun. Although unlike some duns I have seen her eyes appear to be quite dark.)

There really isn't any big difference. If this girl was tall enough to carry that weight, she'd be a horse for sure!

Oh. My. Goodness.

I don't know anything about Fjords so I don't truly know what they're *supposed* to look like, but... yikes. I don't think I've ever seen that head and neck combo before - ugh.

The neck does kill me. I hope it doesn't kill her!

They're little tanks, but not like that!

The one in the top pics--Bjorn--just started working with my trainer. He's hilarious--looks like a wind-up toy going around.

I always imagine they would be hard to post to--updownupdownupdown, without even a hyphen!

Oh hush, you! That's an adorably stout pony! I want one!

If she was about eight inches tall and could snuggle on my pillow, sure!

Looks a lot like Coney before we move into the place with stairs!

She's a Fjord crossed with a Shetland? I can't think what other cross would produce a pony of that shape. :)

In colour she's very like our little pony Hippo who was about 12hh. Though he was never that fat, even if he did tend to put on weight easily.

I think your second paragraph hits on the cross--she's gotta be part hippo.
