I need to get reading

In addition to the Anne Boleyn book I have not started yet, I got one about Catherine of Aragon out of the public library over the weekend. It was published in 1967 and is firmly in Catherine's camp, so I don't expect much sympathy for Anne. However, Catherine is an interesting character herself.

Over the weekend I watched Henry IV Part I--well done, I thought. Only I kept looking at the actor who played Thomas Percy and thinking, Damn I should know who that guy is!

And then it hit me: Richard Bucket from Keeping Up Appearances. I don't think I've ever heard him utter a complete line of dialogue before, since Hyacinth kept interrupting him. It was funny and weird to see him as a military leader!

I hate two books from the library I haven't even cracked yet. They are both recently published too, which means I'll have to wait a while before getting them out again. Oh well.

That's where I am at least grateful for the hold system, so I can get back on the list for a book I haven't gotten to. Because if I take them back I might forget to look for them again until months later!

True. When this happens I do put them back on hold, but at least I have other books I can read. These are some non-fictions ones anyway.

Even so, it's annoying to have to start over, isn't it?

I have about three books on the go right now and between the barn, the writing, and just feeling uncomfortable when I sit it's hard to settle to them. Must! Read!

I'm having a hard time lately getting things done. I've been reading Anne of Green Gables for week. I mean, seriously. I haven't been knitting much either. What gives. Must be itching for spring.

It's sad that as soon as I read "Richard Bucket" my head immediately said "Pronounced Bouquet, dear."
