I'm posting this just because I love this song and this band:
And because "oh she loved the lines around his mouth" is a triumph of tiny intimate detail. Not all songwriters need endless romantic disasters in order to write about love. Jim Cuddy, the guy who wrote and sings this one, is a noted writer of fictional songs that make people ask him how he and his wife are getting along ("Fine! Why do you ask?") but occasionally he writes one where they live happily ever after. I think it's only the minor key that makes this song sound mournful.
