I shouldn't even admit to this but...
When I first got the treadmill going, I was figuring out how long a session would be a sensible start. (I figured if I got carried away in the first session I'd discourage myself, and it's not like I'm not easy to discourage about exercise.)
So as I considered duration and distance, one of the thoughts that passed through my head was, "Remember, however far you go, you're going to have to walk the same distance back."
It's a treadmill, genius! In my spare room!
Honest to God, sometimes I embarrass myself.

Ever feel like you're sort of walking in place?
Me, too. Only it's not so bad: when my parents moved out of their house I somehow ended up with my mother's treadmill, which I finally set up over the weekend. So although the last couple of days have been too messy or too cold for me to feel like going to the barn, I put on the iPod and walked for half an hour both days.
I'm in a downstairs apartment so there isn't anyone below the treadmill, and the walls are solid so I don't think I'm making myself a nuisance or anything. So I guess the thing to do is keep it up. Mitzi will be pleased if there is less of me to lug around come spring!
